Helaman’s Vanguard is a unique, action-based discipleship program for LDS youth, designed to foster spiritual strength, practical skills, and real-world confidence through hands-on challenges rooted in gospel principles. It is structured to complement the four-part youth program of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, providing an immersive way to apply gospel teachings in everyday life.

In a world filled with distractions and challenges, youth need more than just knowledge of the gospel—they need to experience and live it. This program transforms scriptural lessons into engaging, real-world experiences, helping young people strengthen their testimonies, develop leadership, and build self-reliance as they prepare to stand firm in faith, just as Helaman’s warriors did.

What’s Inside This LDS Youth Program?

To complete the Nephi’s Apprentice LDS youth program, youth will engage in hands-on experiences that build faith, resilience, and real-world skills. Participants will:

✅ Complete 6 Spiritual Challenges – Develop a habit of prayer, scripture study, and reflection to strengthen faith and recognize God’s hand in daily life.
✅ Achieve 4 Physical Development Goals – Improve endurance, fitness, and preparedness through hiking, personal fitness challenges, and learning essential first aid skills.
✅ Practice 5 Social & Leadership Activities – Build skills in teamwork, conflict resolution, public speaking, and service to foster confidence and meaningful relationships.
✅ Learn 5 Practical Skills – Gain hands-on experience with tools, outdoor survival, mechanical and electrical systems, and craftsmanship through simple yet meaningful projects.
✅ Learn 5 new skills in Meaningful Topics – Expand knowledge in history, science, leadership, or other enriching non-fiction subjects.
✅ Complete 3 Personal Growth Projects – Organize a service project, create a symbolic journey of faith, or research and apply useful skills like woodworking or engineering.

🌟 Upon completion, youth will be eligible to receive the official Nephi’s Apprentice pin or medallion from our online store.
